Abstract. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the national legislation of CSTO member states, the current paper has presented a detailed characterization of strategic planning for ensuring national and collective security as a subject of information-analytical and methodological support. There have been also proposed measures to harmonize approaches to its legal regulation using the potential of model law-making.
